Family time

As a business owner, it is truly hard to find time to not be worried about my business and it is challenging to make time for friends and family or even myself. I do my best to find the time, and it is sooo important to do it as often as possible.

Last week my parents booked a house for myself, my 3 siblings and their spouses and their 7 kids and my parents in Hocking Hills, Ohio, about 3 hours South of where I live. The house was full of kids from 8 months to 17 and lots of personalities. The house was in Hocking hills and was beautiful! It slept 22 people total and we had 16 of us in the house. There was a game room, 2 large decks that surrounded the house, a hot tub, a basketball court, and a fire pit.

We hiked, we laughed, we played games, we went zip lining, we went putt putting, we made s’mores, grilled out and had conversations that we haven’t been able to have because time flies and everyone’s schedules rarely permit us more than a couple of hours together.

It was great to get away. I had some work that I had to do since I am the owner of the business and handle all the things, but it was nice to be away from the computer, living in the moments, and being with my family.

I baked cinnamon rolls and chocolate chip cookies with my nieces, but did my best to relax.

The only unfortunate part of the trip, was getting lost on the way home when I tried to reset my navigation in the woods and was lost for about an hour, before my parents were able to find me and help me out. UGH! Thankfully I had a car full of snacks, and a full tank of gas and 2 amazing people who’s driveway I pulled into when I had a signal and helped me call my parents and tell them where I was and how to find me.

I am 16 days from my 4th Annieversary and I am so excited to continue this business with the best students and fans ever!!

Thank you for being here, thank you for your patience, your commitment to me and my business. I know that this time I took off to rest and reset will help me in so many ways. I jumped right back in to schedule my Fall and Winter classes.

I encourage you to find a way to reset, if only for a day or two and find more moments to just laugh, listen, and explore!

Have an amazing week! Never hesitate to reach out or if you see me out and about, say hello!

xoxo
